#PRKPengkalanKubor : PAS man’s phone hacked, message bashes PKR ex-candidate

Tumpat PAS deputy secretary Roshidi Ramli’s mobile phone has been hacked, with inflammatory texts regarding former PKR candidate Saharun Ibrahim sent out to random phone numbers.
“On Monday night, I received telephone calls and text messages from friends and anonymous numbers asking who I was and why I sent out such a message.
“The message was not released by me and I feel that it was the action of certain parties with their own agendas,” he said during a press conference at the PAS operations base in Kg Geting, Pengkalan Kubor Wednesday.
Roshidi explained that the message was recorded as being sent from his phone number, which he had been using for 14 years.
“Don’t try to appear to be a hero. You are already old. I advise you not to stand in the way (of PAS’ candidate).
“Do you think you are a gangster?” read the fake message in the Kelantanese dialect, which was addressed, to Sarahun.
Roshidi, who is also the village chief of Mukim 7, said that this may also be an attempt to defame him.
The Pengkalan Kubor by-election will see a three-way contest between Barisan Nasional's Mat Razi Mat Ail, PAS' Wan Rosdi Wan Ibrahim and Independent candidate Izat Bukhary Ismail Bukhary.
Pengkalan Kubor, one of the four state seats in the Tumpat constituency, was held by Umno's Datuk Noor Zahidi Omar before his passing from lung cancer on Aug 20.
There are 24,039 registered voters in the constituency.
In the 2013 general election, Noor Zahidi beat PKR candidate Saharun Ibrahim and independent Izat Bukhary Ismail Bukhary with a majority of 1,736 votes.

The Pengkalan Kubor by-election will be held on Sept 25 with early voting on Sept 21
